We understand that mental health and substance use treatment records are deeply personal. - Healthcare Operations: Conducting clinical quality assurance, licensing compliance, accreditation review, and staff supervision necessary to operate safely and effectively.
3. Special Protections for Behavioral Health & Substance Use Records
Records relating to mental health counseling and substance use disorder treatment may receive heightened confidentiality protections under federal regulations and state behavioral health privacy laws. Outside narrow statutory exceptions such as medical emergencies, mandated safety reporting, or valid court orders, Path 2 Purpose obtains your written authorization before releasing clinical records to external parties.
